Once again taking the bull by its horns, the actress is all set to make her powerful presence with her next release 'Sherni' which is set to release on June 18. The film, directed by Amit Masurkar’s, will feature her as a forest officer battling patriarchal norms at her workplace.

It's been 16 years since Vidya entered the Bollywood industry; ask her if she ever thought of the film industry being a man's world she quickly replies, "I think we have been brought up to believe that it’s a man’s world period. So it’s no different with the film industry. But that’s changing, and that’s reflecting in our films. It’s no longer going to be a man’s world, it’s going to be equally our world."
